Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Seneca, SC 29672
Shift: Nights – 3x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)
Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed
Overview:
This role provides nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment caring for patients with a wide range of acute and critical medical needs. The nurse must be comfortable with rapid assessment, stabilization, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience
EPIC experience required
Required Certifications:
BLS
ACLS
PALS
NIHSS
CPI/MAB (or equivalent de-escalation/behavioral management certification)
Responsibilities:
Perform triage, rapid assessment, and re-assessment based on condition changes
Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and response to care
Collaborate with physicians and care teams to manage urgent and emergent situations
Document assessments and care using EMR system
Support patient and family education and communication
Floating Expectations:
Floating may be required to other units or campuses based on census and staffing needs
Nurses will only float to units where they are trained and clinically competent
