The QA Lead is responsible for ensuring that software meets quality standards, requirements, and is defect-free. This involves designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development teams to prevent defects throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
- Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases (functional, integration, regression, performance).
- Execute manual and automated tests, track defects, and ensure resolution.
- Automate test cases using test automation frameworks and tools.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and operations to refine requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Perform cross-browser, cross-platform, usability, and accessibility testing.
- Monitor quality metrics and recommend improvements.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a QA perspective.
- Document test results, maintain test artifacts, and audit test coverage.
- Use defect tracking tools and manage the bug lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in software testing / QA.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile / scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD.
- Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in government / regulated systems (e.g., compliance, accessibility).
- Performance or load testing experience.
- Security / penetration testing knowledge.
- Experience in REST API / integration testing.
- Experience with service virtualization / mocking tools.
