About the role The Production Supervisor oversees the production team, with up to 20 direct reports, and develops a team that provides quality products for our customers. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced leader with safety as a top priority, versed in coaching and developing employees. Additionally, this position requires an eye for process efficiencies and continuous improvement and the ability to collaborate with other teams, coordinating production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control departments to achieve sustained and improved efficiencies. Key responsibilities · Efficiently execute the production schedule.· Develop and maintain efficient SOPs in collaboration with the site engineers.· Develop and maintain qualified personnel within the plant production department.· Communicate and enforce regulatory & Kerry standards within the plant.· Drive operational efficiency initiatives.· Manage the plant production department within budget. Positive working environment driving a continuous improvement theme.· Work in collaboration with HSE officer to ensure a safe working environment.· Responsible for manufacturing product to specification.· Responsible for financial performance of process orders variances.· Responsible for the organization and facilitation of training.· Ensure food safety and quality of products during the shift.· Responsible for inventory.· Management through KPIs.· Responsible for the team's development and performance.· Responsible for the plant to be SQF at all times.· Practice GMPS. Qualifications and skills Experience · Continuous improvement understanding.· Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodology.· HACCP/food safety experience.· Experience in food, chemical, or Pharmaceutical industry.· Team leadership and development.· Organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential. Education · BS in Engineering, Business, Food Science or equivalent combination of education/experience. Working Conditions · Food manufacturing plant.· Warehouse environment. Physical Requirements · Ability to work in hot, cold or wet environments.· Ability to work overtime and use a flexible schedule. Compensation Data The pay range for this position is $64,479 to $105,272 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
