Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 70-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 16, 2025. This full-time role features 12-hour weekday shifts (8am-8pm) and shorter weekend shifts (8am-4pm), with a rotating 36/40 schedule and every other weekend required. The position requires autonomous practice in a high-volume clinic setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Independently assess, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients in a high-volume setting
• Manage a daily patient load of 40+ individuals across a broad range of acute presentations
• Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff within a streamlined business model
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Adhere to clinic protocols and best practices for urgent care delivery

Additional Information

• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
• DOT certification is a plus
• Must be able to work autonomously; not accepting new graduates
