Cedar Park Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Painter for a temporary project in a secured facility garage. This role involves extensive prep and repainting of exposed structural and mechanical elements and requires a painter who can independently manage both the work and all necessary equipment.
Schedule: 3 month project. Full Time. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The Painter will be responsible for removing existing loose paint and applying new primer and dryfall paint to the underside of a metal roof deck, exposed bar joists, and attached conduit, piping, ductwork, and mechanicals in an active garage environment. The ideal candidate has strong commercial/industrial painting experience, is highly detail-oriented, and can coordinate work phases around ongoing garage operations.
Key Responsibilities
Remove existing loose paint from the metal roof deck, exposed bar joists, conduit, piping, ductwork, and associated mechanicals.
Prepare all surfaces in accordance with primer and paint manufacturer instructions.
Apply a complete coat of primer to all prepared surfaces.
After primer has dried, apply a coat of dryfall paint to all primed areas.
Protect equipment, vehicles, building systems, and any uninvolved surfaces during paint removal and application.
Assume responsibility for any damage caused to unprotected surfaces.
Perform daily debris removal and maintain a clean, safe work area.
Coordinate project phases with facility representatives to minimize disruption to ongoing garage operations.
Provide all paint, paint-removal and application equipment, scaffolding, personnel lifts, and any other tools or materials required to complete the project.
Qualifications & Skills
Demonstrated commercial/industrial painting experience .
Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturer instructions for all painting materials.
OSHA construction safety certification required.
OSHA aerial and scissor lift certification required.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in an active garage environment.
Must successfully pass a background check .
