**Job Summary:**
The Medical Receptionist plays a vital role in the efficient operation of our medical office. You will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and supporting our clinical team with administrative tasks. Your attention to detail and ability to provide excellent customer service will contribute to a positive patient experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate department, and take detailed messages.
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments using electronic medical records systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with relevant healthcare regulations.
- Verify and update patient information and insurance details accurately.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and mailing documents.
- Assist in billing and payment processing as required.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the office team.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and familiar with electronic medical records systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
