The Infusion Clinic Oncology RN will join a respected regional health system anchored by an accredited oncology program. Reporting to the Infusion Clinic Nurse Manager with close collaboration alongside Medical Oncologists, Advanced Practice Providers, and Oncology Pharmacists, the Infusion Clinic Oncology RN partners daily with Nurse Navigators, Social Work, Schedulers, and Revenue Integrity to streamline care. The position may precept new team members and, as a Clinical Nurse III-level caregiver, provides clinical direction to LPNs, MAs, techs, and HUCs within scope and policy.
The Infusion Clinic Oncology RN supports multi-site outpatient infusion centers with daily patient volumes ranging from approximately 20–25 at smaller locations, 25–60 at mid-sized clinics, and 75–90+ at the busiest sites 💉. Benefit from a robust onboarding pathway—ideal for nurses transitioning from inpatient oncology—while prior outpatient infusion experience and ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification remain highly valued.
The Infusion Clinic Oncology RN provides comprehensive assessment, coordinates and individualizes plans of care, administers chemotherapy and biotherapy per ONS standards, manages central lines and infusion devices, and educates patients and families through each phase of treatment. The role also supports daily operations through detailed documentation, safe handling practices, collaboration on scheduling and chair flow, and participation in quality and process improvement initiatives.
