Litigation Attorney (Employment and Labor Group) Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid)

Compensation: $140,000-$180,000 Base Salary

About the Opportunity
A highly respected, mid-sized law firm in Boston is seeking a Mid-Level Litigation Attorney to join its team. This firm specializes in employment and labor defense and represents a wide range of businesses and institutions, including Fortune 500 companies, major colleges and universities, leading non-profits, and high-tech companies. Position Summary
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of litigation experience at a big law firm, litigation boutique, insurance defense firm, or government agency. This role offers meaningful hands-on experience, including direct client contact, depositions, oral advocacy, and participation in investigations and trainings.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle pleadings, discovery, depositions, and dispositive motions with partner oversight and feedback.
• Manage e-discovery processes, including working with vendors and platforms.
• Approach litigation strategically and practically, taking responsibility for matters from pre-litigation through resolution.
• Draft high-quality legal documents and take pride in written advocacy.
• Collaborate with colleagues while maintaining the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Civil defense litigation background; employment litigation experience strongly preferred .
• Familiarity with restrictive covenants and trial work is a plus.
• Knowledge of employment and/or higher education law is advantageous.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
• 5-8 years of litigation experience.
• Strong writing, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
