It is an independent agency of the executive branch of state government, established under the Constitution of the State of Connecticut. The Division is composed of the Office of the Chief State's Attorney, located in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, and the Offices of the State's Attorneys for each of the thirteen Judicial Districts in the State of Connecticut. About This Position We are recruiting for a full-time DCJ Investigator for the Litchfield GA 18 in Torrington, CT. This position works Monday through Friday, based on a 37.5 hour work week, with core hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. The position # is 4885. The incumbent will be required to complete a background check . The incumbent may be required to travel in the course of their daily work. In the Division of Criminal Justice this class is accountable for assisting in the preparation of criminal and motor vehicle cases for prosecution and trial and for investigating or assisting in the post-arrest investigation of crimes within the jurisdiction of the assigned prosecutorial office. EXAMPLES OF DUTIESKNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Two (2) years of experience as a law enforcement officer.
Minimum Qualifications - Substitutions Allowed A Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related fields may be substituted for the General Experience. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants with the following experience/training:Incumbents in this class may be required to travel within the state in the course of their daily work.
