Chatterbox Speech and Language Clinic is a trusted provider of speech and language therapy services for children and adults. Our mission is to support individuals in achieving their full communication potential through compassionate, personalized care. We are currently seeking a Data Entry Typist to join our administrative team and help ensure accurate and timely entry of important clinic information.

Position Overview

The Data Entry Typist is responsible for typing and inputting data into various digital systems with a high level of accuracy and efficiency. This role supports day-to-day administrative operations, with a focus on maintaining up-to-date patient records, reports, and clinic documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Type and input data from source documents into clinic databases and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  

• Transcribe information from handwritten or audio notes into typed format as needed
  

• Proofread and verify data for accuracy and completeness
  

• Maintain confidentiality and handle all information in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies
  

• Organize and maintain digital files and records
  

• Perform routine data backup and retrieval tasks
  

• Assist with basic clerical duties such as scanning, filing, and document formatting
  

• Collaborate with administrative and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate documentation
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  

• Proven experience as a typist or in a data entry role
  

• Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 50 WPM preferred)
  

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and data entry systems
  

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  

• Ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines
  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  

• Knowledge of medical or clinical terminology is a plus
  

• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
