Job Title: Construction Site Superintendent

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating trades, ensuring project schedules are met, and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality across all activities. The Construction Site Superintendent will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver exceptional results within budget and on time. This job will travel to job sites throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management:
- Oversee daily construction operations and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Ensure that the site is organized, tidy, and safe for all employees and visitors.
Team Leadership:
- Direct and supervise subcontractors and labor force, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting communication and teamwork among all personnel.
Scheduling and Planning:
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers to adjust schedules as needed based on project demands.
Quality Control:
- Monitor construction work to ensure quality standards are met and that all work is carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and address any issues as they arise.
Safety Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize job site accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for all site personnel.
Communication:
- Maintain open lines of communication with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
Problem Solving:
- Quickly address any on-site issues or conflicts that arise, finding effective and efficient solutions.
Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of project progress, changes, and communications, including daily log reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction management or site supervision.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Certifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- This position may require working in various weather conditions and on active construction sites.
- Occasional travel may be required to different project locations.
